So I have a 1k credit limit with care credit (GEMB). I pay early and more than the minimum every month. I was wondering how long should I wait to apply for another card provided by the same company.

Not sure what your fico scores are but I think jcp pulls transunion reports….whatever u do I have heard its easier to get approved in the store.

    I have heard that too.

    My current scores are

    659 – Equifax

    651 – Experian

    646- Transunion.

I have seen so many different numbers that I get confused about which ones are right. I was given these numbers by Identity Guard.

I hope somebody can answer your question. I still don’t have any retail cards but I’m thinking about applying for one as well. I just don’t know which one yet, so I think I’ll wait until I figured that out. I don’t think you have bad scores, you should be able to get a card somewhere.

I agree with ambersun, it’s much easier to get approved in the store or in the bank. I got approved for a Bank of America secured card a couple of days ago and I applied in person. I now think that I would’ve probably been denied if I had applied online. They even offered me a card that you can’t see on their site.

oh about the gas card, with those scores I think you are game for any card…any fico score over 650 i think you are good to go! i would definately compare interest rates and annual fees on the gas cards. (shoot for no annual fee!) ..there may be a website somewhere that has already compared them for you —> here I hope this link works… http://www.creditcards.com/credit-card-news/compare-gas-credit-cards-1277.php

Thanks for the link. I am about to check it out. If I sign up for the free trial at MYFICO can i cancel online, or do I have to call?

The one I want has no annual fee! I really want to apply, but I am still hesitant. My Equifax report still has a lot of inquiries and i am still working on getting a medical collection off of my reports.

Yeah I would be hesitant also. With the myfico u have to call in to cancel and they almost always want to try to offer u a discount when u try to leave.
