Jerry, just remember, it's not a lie if you believe it!

Hey guys.
I know I have told you about my Discover invitation letters. Well today I got something a little different. It is a Mastercard offer from HSBC. It has the language at the bottom that Ambersun told me about before.
It says: You can choose to stop receiving “Prescreened” offers from this and other companies by calling toll-free 1888-567-8688. See Prescreen & Opt-out notice on the reverse for more information about prescreened offers.
It always has an “acceptance” code that I am suppose to enter when I go to the webiste.
This is much different than my other letters. The other ones said invitation and invited to apply this one says pre-selected and acceptance code.
What should I do.
I wish I could help you but I really don’t know much about invitation letters (though it seems to me this one sounds more legit than the others you describe). Send ambersun a private message, I’m sure she could offer a better answer.
Thanks.
Have you made a decision about applying yet? I was checking out the post you mentioned about pre-approvals and you are right, it’s the same language Ambersun mentioned. Did you try going to the website and entering the code to see what they offered? Also, have you applied for other cards recently?
