Jerry, just remember, it's not a lie if you believe it!

I have planned to wait at least 6 months before applying for any type of credit again. I know that too many inquiries in a short period of time tends to look bad to lenders. When it comes to TU and Experian I only have 3 inquiries, but on Equifax I have 7, with one that should fall off after today. i guess what I need to know after how long will it not look as bad to the lenders? 6 months? 1 year?
I feel like i will be able to hold off because my care credit card is reporting to all three bureaus and is helping my score. I have a lot of things that need to be done. i will continue to use it wisely and give this account some age. After the recommended time I will then apply for another card.
I think with the strict lenders, no inquiries within one year is fine as long as you have no other baddies on your report. With less strict lenders, it’s usually only six months wait. Generally, it’s normal to have 3-4 inquiries on each report. I think these are the inquiry sensitive, strict lenders: Citi, Discover, Chase, Bank of America, Amex. Capital One, HSBC and their other banks (Orchard, Household Bank), and GEMB are not as inquiry sensitive.
Alright. Thanks for the info.
