Jerry, just remember, it's not a lie if you believe it!

The annual fee for my capital one card is showing up on my online banking. Should I go ahead and pay it or will it show up as a negative mark if I do?
You can go ahead an pay it. No worries. You can pay now or before your payment due date (if you already have one).
Why would it show as a negative mark?
I thought some places charge for paying early.
Well, I know for a fact Capital One, Bank of America or PayPal will not charge for paying early (these are the cards I currently have). I pay early all the time, and sometimes 2,3 or 4 times within the same statement.
Okay thanks for the input.
When I tried to pay before my first statement was generated, I got an error message and had to wait until the statement cut (or at least a due date shows up) before I could pay through the Capital One website. After that first statement, I could pay whenever I wanted. However, you can “push” the payment to Capital One from your bank’s bill pay service if you want to pay before the first statement or first due date.
Hey Christie, how’s your new card treating you?
So far so good. I have used it three times so far. I haven’t gotten a statement date yet, but I have already made two payments on it.
Wow, 2 payments already. Something tells me you like being on top of things
I can’t believe it’ll be 2 years in January since I applied for my CapOne. And my BOA is supposed to graduate this November. Time sure flies!
Christie- Sounds like all’s going well! I remember how “excited” I was to pay my charges even though sometimes it was only a few dollars, because it meant that I was building good credit.
Fontanaman- BoA secured card graduation sounds very exciting! Let us know how it goes! I like my BoA cash rewards card and how easy it is to always get 2% cash back for groceries.
Yes, you can pay for it on or before your due date. That would be great…
