Hello everyone! I have two accounts with capital one, the credit limits on both are $500 and the other is $252 and asking for an deposit for an increase on the $252. I deposited $101 and have to wait 10 business days. My trans score is 589 and my exper score is 680 as of today Dec”12. I have Credit Sesame Credit Karma and Credit.com accounts . Is the 100 dollars added after a year or 6 months? I received an email stating after 7 statements from the $500 limit I will increase to $750. Trying to get EDGEA-MA- CaKED about credit and cards and how they score. First thing I found out is make sure you pay 75% of your credit card bill before they send off your monthly statement to all three credit agencies.
As far as the secured card increase goes, there’s no guarantee that you will get one. I got a $100 increase on my secured card after 7 months, but a lot of people complain they never got one. You mention you received an email about getting an increase after 7 statements? Do you have a Credit Steps Program card?
Yes, it is recommended that you do not spend more than 30% of your available credit at any given time. I now tend to be more flexible with this and use a little more if I have to. The most important thing as I mentioned before is to always pay on time, and never max out your cards.
Yes it’s an 7 steps card. Being a virgin with these cards is like giving a 16 yr old a Corvette.
In order to maintain most cards you will need blow money throughout the month, for me it’s at lease $600. Just coming to conclusion that a card is just for HARD BACKUP.
