I think with the strict lenders, no inquiries within one year is fine as long as you have no other baddies on your report. With less strict lenders, it’s usually only six months wait. Generally, it’s normal to have 3-4 inquiries on each report. I think these are the inquiry sensitive, strict lenders: Citi, Discover, Chase, Bank of America, Amex. Capital One, HSBC and their other banks (Orchard, Household Bank), and GEMB are not as inquiry sensitive.
