I remember reading in someone’s post (Amy?) that her credit file was too thin. She talked about CreditKarma. I have a question.
I am an international student and hence have practically no credit history. After a year of cluelessness and being denied by Chase (that’s my university’s bank and where all have checking and savings accounts are, and the banker kept assuring me that I’ll get a credit card) and Paypal Extras Mastercard, I decided on spending the money to get a secured credit card (Capital One Platinum Mastercard). I finally got my credit card today and am excited about building my credit history.
My question is, creditkarma keeps telling me that my file is too thin and so it can’t create a profile for me. When will it be able to create my profile. Did the forum writer face the same problem? Also, does it hurt my credit score to keep trying to check my credit score through websites like this?
